Spotted Horse now in Romania

Hi Everyone,

A bus load of soldiers and three of us civilians departed Heidelberg at 003027JUN2009Z.  We travelled by bus to Rhein Ordinance Barracks, sat in a waiting room for 2.5 hours, then bused to Ramstein Air Base, sat in a staging area for three hours, bused to a C130 military plane equipped with sling seats and two plallet loads of duffle bags.  Two and a half hours later we arrived on Romanian soil.
The meal in the dinning facilty (DFAC) was very good, much better than the one on Patton Barracks in Heidelberg.  That is a positive note.  And positive notes continue. The commander and the other key leaders and service providers here are all most pleasant and cordial.  I have my own room in a converted truck trailer.  Two beds, two wall lockers, two footlockers, a window on one end, a door on the other.  The shower facilties are right accross the street.  ---- convenient.
I am writting from the free CYBER CAFE, which is in a nice air condition building that also houses a large area fitted with exercise equipment.

I will attach some photos later.     Love to all,  S. Horse
